Position Description

The Blue Card Coordinator and AdSafe Coordinator are responsible for ensuring that all members of the Church Board (MLT) and all members who work with children (i.e. under 18s) in any capacity at church (music, A/V, kid’s story, Sabbath School, Adventurers, Messy Church, etc) have a QLD Blue Card and have complete AdSafe Training.

BLUE CARDS 

If you have a Blue Card, please send Fiona Sandy the following so that she can add you to Coastlife’s database:

• Full name
• Blue Card number
• Birth date

If you don’t have a Blue Card, you will need to apply for one here. The application is free. 

You will need to include Coastlife’s Blue Card ID number in your application: 1016122

Some professions allow you to apply for a ‘Blue Card exemption’. If this is you, you will still be issued with a Blue Card, and Fiona will still need the details from that card.

ADSAFE TRAINING

All volunteers must also complete AdSafe training (it lasts for 3 years). (If you log in and it says you have completed the training, please send Fiona a screenshot so that she can ask the SPD to transfer your record from your previous church to Coastlife).

The AdSafe training can be found here. It involves watching short videos, reading short paragraphs of information, and answering multiple choice questions. It can be completed in stages if you don’t have time to do it all at once.
